World Handicap System (WHS)

Why Do I Need a WHS Handicap?

A valid World Handicap System (WHS) Handicap Index is required by many golf clubs and official tournaments as part of their registration requirements. Without a valid handicap, you may be unable to participate in certain tournaments or enjoy handicap-based games with other golfers.

How Do I Apply for a WHS Handicap?

The Senior Golfers Society of Malaysia (SGSM) is an official agent for the Malaysian Golf Association (MGA) WHS. Through SGSM, golfers can apply for a WHS Handicap Index, including those who are not members of any golf club in Malaysia. The service is open to all golfers. To obtain an application form, please contact SGSM during office hours:

What Are the Application Requirements and Fees?

  • Complete the WHS application form.

  • Pay the annual fee of RM200.00 to the Persatuan Senior Golfers Malaysia (SGSM) Maybank account.

    Payment may be made via online transfer or cash deposit machine.

  • Take clear photographs of your five (5) most recent golf scorecards.

  • Submit your completed application form, proof of payment and scorecard photographs to SGSM via WhatsApp at
    011-6335 8797.

What Happens After Registration and Payment?

Upon successful registration, you will receive a WhatsApp notification from the WHS GoGolf Administrator confirming your WHS number.

You are encouraged to download the free MGA WHS mobile application from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to access your handicap information and familiarise yourself with the application.

Your Handicap Index should appear in the application within 24 hours after your details have been entered into the system.

How Do I Submit My Golf Scores?

Submitting your golf scores is simple and convenient.

Take a clear photograph of your completed scorecard and send it via WhatsApp to 010-558 3737 (WHS GoGolf). The WHS GoGolf Administrator will process and update your scores during the following office hours:

  • Days: Monday to Friday
  • Time: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Excluding: Public holidays

Please ensure that your scorecard is clear and legible to facilitate accurate processing.

What Is the Annual Renewal Fee?

The annual renewal fee is RM200.00.

To maintain your WHS Handicap Index, please ensure that your annual fee is paid before your current registration expires. We recommend renewing in advance to avoid any interruption to your handicap service.

For renewal arrangements or confirmation of your expiry date, please contact SGSM at 03-7733 8858 or WhatsApp 011-6335 8797 during office hours.

Who Should I Contact for Login Problems or General Enquiries?

For assistance with logging in to the MGA WHS mobile application, handicap-related enquiries or other technical issues, please contact the WHS GoGolf Administrator via WhatsApp at 010-558 3737. The administrator will respond during office hours:
